The client had a small patio area that was typical of a new build, small, and also the garden flooded when it rained. This is quite common in this area as the ground is predominantly clay-based. A solution was incorporated into the design to allow for drainage and to create a much more appealing place to spend time in, extending the patio, a pad at the rear for a greenhouse, and some planting to offer some privacy.
